Temporary? Insanity

I spent a good chunk of my evening humming the song “You’re the Inspiration” under my breath. One of my favouritest blogs is written by someone who is fast becoming one of my favouritest people; Lara, The Lazy Organizer at http://www.laragallagher.com/blog/. Not only is she brilliant, but she’s hilarious and human at the same time.

Now I’m the type who hides my messes. My mother could tell you horror stories about opening the closet in my bedroom or my dresser drawers when I was a kid. Surface tidiness is very important to me. I like to look around and see uncluttered surfaces. And when company is coming over? Whoo boy…look out. I throw open drawers and cupboard doors, and stuff them full of…well…of stuff.

I love the idea of having a place for everything and everything in its place. Being far lazier than Lara (sorry Lara, but it’s true!), I don’t often put in the effort to arrange things how I would like them. But I’m starting…one cupboard at a time. And I’m going to post every single before and after picture here on my blog. And here are the first of them!

It’s so much more fun to organize when you get to show off the results! Tomorrow…the pantry!
