…am I still awake? It’s past midnight, we’re going to church in the morning, I have a nasty headache, and I’m typing away on the computer. And not productive typing like catching up on my huuuuge backlog of unanswered e-mails, etc…but just punking around not doing anything terribly important.
I feel this great desire to understand myself, and I’m always frustrated when I come across a doozy like this.
Anyway, holidays have been the usual extreme bouts of high and[...]

I had an idea the other day and I’m only getting around to posting about it now because, yes, Christmas time is a little hectic. At church on Sunday it suddenly hit me that the reason I wouldn’t be there the following week was that we’re going away. On Friday. That was less than a week away!
It’s a weird sensation having a panic attack while playing O Little Town of Bethlehem in the chapel, let me tell[...]

So much for posting on a daily basis. I’m so unreliable! And I admire reliability in others to such an extent that it makes it all the more painful when I see the lack in myself. Alas, a few mood swings and I’m off in la-la-land pondering the meaning and direction of my life. How ironic that whenever I pause to do so my life loses all meaning and direction!
I’m a dreamer. I don’t think there’s any word in the[...]

We rented a few movies this weekend and had a grand time laughing, groaning, wrinkling our respective noses (Pirates of the Caribbean – eww!), and watching the TV screen mildly enthralled. I enjoyed Superman the best out of the lot, and my preference surprised me.
The casting was superb. The Superman/Clark Kent dichotomy was carried off beautifully. I was also hugely impressed by the casting of the Lois Lane character. There was a “realness” to her that[...]

Water.E – Essential Item You Use Everyday? Besides the normal toiletries? Mmm…these days I’d say chap-stick.F – Favourite Colour? Burgundy.G – Gummy Bears Or Worms? Definitely the bears. I’ve never stolen a Meme before – it’s kind of exciting! I saw this on Deanne’s page and couldn’t resist. So I grabbed it and did a runner.
1.How old were you when you learned to read and who taught you?I’m assuming I learned in Grade One, and while it seems I should list my first grade teacher, I’d have to say that it was more through the efforts of my mom. Even before we attended school, she was teaching us[...]

There’s always a kazillion or so challenges floating around the online community, and since I couldn’t find one to suit my needs, I’m making up my own!
I’m going to blog at least once a day (maybe more!) for two consecutive weeks. I want to see what I get out of the blogging experience when I’m not waiting for days between posts, trying to think up something clever or witty to say.
I figure I’ll either enjoy the liberating aspect[...]

It’s too cold to blog! Or e-mail…or comment on other people’s blogs or, in short, to have any sort of online presence whatsoever. My computer is in the basement, and even with the heat on, the basement is seriously chilly. And I’m not the type who normally shuts down in the cold. I’m the shuns the sun would’ve been a goth-girl in high school if I’d had enough black clothes type.
Seriously, I’m not exaggerating. I’ve[...]
