Temporary? Insanity

Aprons- Y/N? – Nah. I’m too lazy to bother. I’ve got one though. It’s very pretty…not a spot on it.
Baking- Cupcakes, Cookies, Mini-Muffins, Cakes from the box and icing from scratch (I hate the canned stuff).
Clothesline- Y/N? – Neil set one up when we moved in but we only used it twice before the miserable weather hit.
Donuts- Ever made them? – I helped my mum make them when I was about six, I think. Donut making isn’t a skill I plan to develop…too dangerous! And I’m not talking about the hot fat.
Everyday- One homemaking thing you do everyday? – Just one? Pfft! What a ridiculous question!
Freezer- Do you have a separate deep freezer? – Yup. A small chest freezer, plus the freezer in the extra fridge in the garage. And yes, I know how spoiled I am.
Garbage Disposal- Y/N? – ~wails~ Nooooo! We’re on a septic system which means no simple waste disposal for me.
Handbook- Y/N? – I don’t understand the question!
Ironing- Ahhh…no. I toss things in the dryer with a wet towel instead.
Junk Drawer- Where is it? – I used to have twelve. I’ve only got two left! Yay!
Kitchen- Design and decorating? – White cabinets with wrought iron handles. Not awful, but not particularly spiffy either. Some day I’ll have my dream kitchen…
Love- What is your favorite part of homemaking? – The part where I’ve just worked my tail off and get to sit back and enjoy my lovely clean house for about 2.7 minutes.
Mop- Y/N? – Nope. I do it on my hands and knees. I don’t do it often but when I do I do it thoroughly.
Nylons- Wash by hand or in the washer? – Washer. They don’t often survive, but there’s no way I’m taking the time to wash them by hand. I wear tights most often as they last longer.
Oven- Do you use the window or open it to check? – Open…the window doesn’t give a good enough idea of browning, etc…
Pizza- What do you put on yours? – Pepperoni and lots of different cheeses. I have simple tastes. I actually looooove a good plain cheese pizza.
Quiet- What do you do during the day when you get a quiet moment? – Read, Blog/Read Blogs, Crochet in front of a movie.
Recipe card box- Y/N? – I’m overflowing with recipes. Recently bought a box to get them organized but I fear it will be a lifelong process.
Style of house – Basement entry two storey house, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, upper and lower deck, really ugly rusty brown coloured exterior with dark brown trim.
Tablecloths and napkins- Y/N? – For special occasions. I love my table and like to show it off, but I also like to show off my fancy tablecloth and folded napkins. I find glamming up my table really fun.
Under the kitchen sink – Dishwasher detergent, dirty rag bucket, plastic scrubby things, water filtration system (yes, I’m spoiled).
Vacuum- How many times a week? – Twice.
Wash- How many loads do you do a week? – I’ve never counted. I don’t think I want to know.
X’s- Do you keep a list of things to do and cross them off? – Nope. But when I’m feeling glum I keep a “Done List” so I can feel all accomplished and empowered at the end of my day.
Yard- Who does what? – I pruned a hedge…once. That’s about it for me.
ZZZ’s- What is your last homemaking task for the day? – Lay out the breakfast dishes so I don’t have to fuss about so much in the morning.
