It Seemed like a Good Idea at the Time…
by Kym on March 21, 2007
You know how some people keep a box of baking soda in the fridge to help keep it smelling fresh? Yeah, not as great an idea as it sounds. On the other hand, a good clean out was long past overdue. I’m trying to laugh. I’m trying very, very, very hard.
Stay tuned for the “after” pictures.
Oh, and would you believe that my dear sweet Emma didn’t have one single speck on her? Hopefully this is a talent that will serve her well later in life.
~Updated~ Annie can start breathing again, here are the after pics. All clean and organized, and crying out for a grocery trip tonight. And Emma helped.

LOL! At least it motivated you to clean the fridge right? Maybe I should spill something in mine so I’ll have to clean it too, I put it off way too much. How funny she didn’t get any on her!

Woot! More before and after pics! I love those. Don’t make me wait too long.

Maybe Emma just wanted to make some snow in honor of the first day of Spring. She didn’t want Winter to feel left out :)!!

So first you had your Blogroll with “A” at the top. Now you have it with “W” at the top. What about people that start with “M”? Are you going to go random soon?

That is too funny. Of course it is always funnier when it is someone else’s child that does it. :p

Oh goodness! That silly little Emma! I’m glad she helped you clean up though! And I hope you were able to do a great shop tonight so you have a happy, full, CLEAN fridge! :)

AH MAN! I want my fridge to look just like that.
Do you let Emma travel outside outside of the country?
Fine, you can come too.

I’m going to change my blog name to “Who Wants More Cowbell?” and then I WILL be on top.

*sigh* Showing off your name brand designer comestibles again, are we? My fridge is full of no-name generic bottles with caked on crust around the rims and they leave rings on the fridge shelves. That’s okay though, because the sticky rings work as an adhesive and then I feel certain that they won’t fall out and break or injure anyone. I put family safety above all else. :)

i covet your fridge. not only because now it is clean, it is at least 5 years or more newer than the one that the army has put into our house….. can’t wait until we get one like yours!

I laughed! It could be worse! Could have been eggs! Great looking fridge!

Kara – some girls lead a charmed life!
Annie – I love you! I got up off my duff and cleaned it out just for you!
Lucy – You bet I am!
Amanda – I probably would’ve gone balistic if I hadn’t thought about how you’d all get a chuckle out of it. =)
Kate – Alas, shopping will have to wait till tomorrow night. Extended date night…oh yeah!
NCS – Are you kidding? We’re built for travel, baby. And you’re always tops in my book. ~bats eyelashes at you~
EWBL – I made sure the chisel I used to get mine out was out of the shot. Does it help to know I bought most of ‘em on sale? I had a coupon for the mustard, really!
Terina – I feel for you! After years of teeny old apartment fridges it’s so nice to have a newer one.
Rosie – Eggs…good heavens. So glad Emma doesn’t read this blog. =P

I would guess if had been me it would not have been one of my shining moments as a parent. But, it sounds like you handled it fine. And you have a clean fridge to boot! Nothing like a clean fridge to make you feel like you conquered the highest of peaks in the Everest of dirty kitchens! ha…pretty good eh?! :) I could just sit and gaze at my fridge after I cleaned it out real good. Nothing like it. Nothing like it. Bravo!

Dear me, I think I need to clean my fridge out after seeing those spick “after” pictures.
What a gorgeous picture of Emma with her cute, gappy toothed smile. Awwww!

I could make you feel SO much better by showing you the fridge I had to clean out when we evicted the tenant in NY… but you’d throw up. Seriously.
We had a turkey wing in the fridge. A real one.
WITH FEATHERS.

Hey, you have cheese in a jar. Or is that cheez?

I need to spill something in my fridge to encourage me to clean the whole thing out.

Deanne – And I was amazed, believe me.
Strauss – If I can inspire just one person…blah blah blah. She is a cutie, isn’t she?
Gerbil – That is so unbelievably disturbing. Thanks in advance for the nightmares. =P
Carrot – It’s the cheeziest. Can’t stand the stuff myself. Except on celery. Don’t know why that is.
Rachel – I highly recommend it! =P
