And for once I’m not just being my usual egomanical self – I really am number one, see? I nabbed this group picture of the bloggy lunch from Millie. Aren’t we pretty? I mean, NCS was rather startling looking, and Carrotjello was a disturbing shade of orange, but other than that, we’re a pretty stunning group, wouldn’t you say?

1. Me! 2. Lucy of An Ordinary Mom 3. Eve of Good Enough 4. Carrotjello of Oinkle Doinkle 5. Jenny of[...]

I just can’t call it blue today. It’s one of those deliciously grey shadowy days, where the clouds form variegated patterns that shift in disturbing ways. There’s a brisk wind rustling through the pine trees which ensconce our house, and I’m smiling and enjoying the ominosity (new word alert) of it all.
The girls are sleeping, and I’m pretending that I don’t have anything more to do before we leave for our trip this weekend. I love my[...]

I think it’s safe to say that fashion is not my forte. I’m the kind of gal whose fashion education consists of having watched The Devil Wears Prada three times and reading the new Sears catalogue every season.
That said, fashion fascinates me.
In my high school days, I scorned it. Mostly because I didn’t have a clue, and no way were my parents going to shell out $85 for the much coveted Club Monaco sweatshirt which was then[...]

…or some other similar happy dance.
I hit my pre-pregnancy weight today! I’ve got my weight loss blog to track such successes, but that wasn’t a big enough bragging forum for me. I mean, I’m thinking about taking out ads in the local paper, and maybe driving around town shouting it out the window.
I don’t know how long the feeling will last, because sadly such things are fleeting, but right now I feel like I can do anything.
What[...]

So I don’t know about changing “the” world, but writing out the answer to the wonderful questions Catherine posed has definitely had an impact on “my” world. Thank you, Catherine! I appreciate having another opportunity to demonstrate just how egomaniacal I am. Shower me with comments, I want to be adored!
1. In what way does your blog reflect who you are, and in what ways does it not?I work really hard at being “me” when I write[...]

I decided to write something brilliant today.
I’ve no idea what that something might be. I just feel that if I really pour my heart and soul into this blog post that it will transcend the usual banal babble I purvey here. And this post will shine out as a beacon to all. It will lift hearts and change lives!
I just need to wait patiently for inspiration to strike.
Pulitzer Prize here I come!
Any time now.
Ready and waiting.
…and waiting.

Friday night Neil had his monthly date night with Emma. I was a bit early dropping her off, so I played with her and Becca in the kid’s corner at Neil’s office. Amidst the colletion of beaten on toys, was a female action figure. She was beautiful and had a skookum figure. I was more than a little pleased when Emma picked her up and called her Mommy. The idea that she had such a[...]

Once again I’m skipping out on having a nap for the sole purpose of entertaining you all. Please leave your tips in the comment box.
My favourite “Chick” tossed me some interview questions, which I am delighted to answer. After all, I’m my favourite subject.
1) Congratulations! You have one Superpower. What is it and why?
The power to block negative thoughts. Purely through the use of my most marvelous mind powers, I can prevent the onslaught of negativity and despair that permeates[...]

I’ve multiple things I feel like jotting down today, but I’m far too lazy to string everything together into one cohesive post. Hey, I’ve been sick, cut me some slack.
1) Feeling muchly, muchly better today. Wee bit on the sleep deprived side, but happy nonetheless.
2) Having fun listening to some funky folksy music at www.kitchenradio.ca. I heard of it through a CBC radio interview the other day. Some of it is dang weird, but most of[...]

Now, you might think the title of this post calls for an exclamation mark or two, but sadly, our Pajama day is not a cause for joy. We are sick. The kind of sick that doesn’t call for details, if you know what I mean.
It’s hit poor Becca the hardest. She hardly ate a thing last night, even her favourites didn’t tempt her, and she slept fourteen hours. Four…teen…hours. And it would’ve been longer if[...]
