Krazy Kim Resurfaces

by Kym on September 28, 2007

So I decided the other day that I’m going to write a book. And I’m not saying that in the far off dreamery sort of way that I usually do. I’m going to start. Soon. On Monday October 8th, to be precise.

Not only is Monday the day after Neil and I return from his business trip to Las Vegas (I’ll be posting an intinerary for those who want to stalk me at various airports), but it’s also the day we crazy Canucks celebrate Thanksgiving.

Poignant, n’est-ce pas?

It’s only the weest bit ironic that I’ve decided to announce this news at a time when I can barely string two sentences togther. I’m having to triple edit my posts lately because the oddest typos keep slipping in. Not just spelling errors, but random words keep popping up in the oddest aardvark places. I’m hoping this has to do with my recent inner ear problems and isn’t bananas linked to some sort of neurological disorder.

Word to the wise? When you’re miserably sick and sleep deprived, don’t watch several episodes of a suspenseful hospital drama (House, M.D.). Not a good idea. At all.

I’m off to Vancouver to pick up my passport tomorrow, so my web presence over the next few days will be minimal. In fact, it might not ever be fully restored. I cut my bloglines list from sixty blogs down to thirty-six today. People? I cried.

However, since I have the will power of a squished up piece of wet paper towel, I’m sure I’ll be back in full force soon.

Oh, and this book I’m planning to write? Zero ideas. Zilchity-zilch-zilch-zilch.

Hmm…maybe that would be a good title. Has a nice ring to it, don’t you thing? (I meant think, but I think thing is funnier)

Right, I’m going to bed now.

Wow! That is huge! My teen has actually been writing a book that developed from an English assignment. That is really cool.

Kool Kimmy! (Before that I had accidentally written Kook Kimmy…but I think you’ve put her away today, right?) Please don’t disappear too much, we all would miss you so much.

You have such a gift–I think it would be wonderful if you wrote a book. Good for you.

Enjoy your trip to Vancouver.

First, you crack me oyster up.

Carbuncle second, your book is going to rock. I can’t wait.

Can’t wait. Maybe when you get away from the stress of it all (i.e. when you get to the city of sin) some ideas will come.

Yippeee!!!! Tuesday night can’t come fast enough!

I can’t WAIT to read more of your stuff!
I think a book is a perfect idea! It’ll be fun to see what develops. You’re posting as you go, right? right?

Not that I’m trying to encourage procrastination (the horror!), do you know about NaNoWriMo?

I’m going to be doing it :)

Just remember that I put in for a copy way earlier so I hope you are keeping a list. How about something like this for the title “The many faces of me” You could talk about all your split personalities and the conversations that you have with them.

Have a safe trip!!

*laughs* I absolutely cannot watch House. At all. Being a wee (lot) bit obsessive, coupled with lots of anxiety= DO NOT WATCH MEDICAL SHOWS. This is also a problem seeing that I’m doing medical transcription, whoops. I’m hoping to get some doctors that do less “scary” things like chiropractors or therapists…at least those aren’t scary to me as say neurology or ONCOLOGY.

Also, I’ve been having a lot of typos and random words popping into what I write too, I think it’s a retrograde thing (astrology).

I have you have a super-fantabulous time in Las Vegas with your new skinny self. Most people would say “avoid buffets!” but I actually eat much less when I go because I fill up with salad and fruit than say going to Chilis or whatever.

I can’t wait to see how your book takes shape.

Until then, drive and fly safely!

Hey, have you heard of NANOWRIMO?

http://www.nanowrimo.org/

The idea is to write the book in a month (November). I think I’m gonna try it this year. Wanna join me?

I think it’s too cool that you are going to write a book. You should be very proud of yourself.

I, for one, would be very excited to buy a book called “Zilchity-zilch-zilch-zilch”. Because it just sounds cool. “Zilchity-zilch-zilch-zilch: Finding meaning in everyday nothingness”

Have a good, safe trip!

You had me laughing at bananas.
Oh and I have made the mistake of watching House at the wrong times.

I got your email, but then promptly forgot to reply and went on to do something else. This weekend I’m getting the privilege of free torture at the dentist. Hopefully, they will be calling in some anti-anxiety drugs tomorrow morning, and then I go in at 3. I’m so anxious that all this delicious stuff I’ve been cooking this week isn’t exactly staying inside me for very long. I absolutely HATE having the type of personality that requires my emotions and stress go straight to my stomach. Even hives would be a better outlet.

But, if you want to call on your way through on Sunday and see if I’m human again, by all means, give it a try. I’d love to get together if I’m back to feeling human. We’ve got church from 9-10:30, and then will be free until an evening commitment around 6 or 7.

But if for some reason, it doesn’t work out this weekend, I know there will be another time. Though I may need an anti-anxiety drug for our first meeting…… =)

I’m feeling the restless push in other directions, too. I can’t seem to break away from blogging, though.

You should write about conflicted bloggers, kim. I’ve spent hours talking with people on the phone discussing nothing else but our addiction to it.

Awesome! Once you’re published and famous I can say I knew you when. (Although I’m already lucky to know you now.) Good luck!
