Temporary? Insanity

Just to prove that I can. That I don’t have to blog on a daily basis. That, in fact…an entire day can go by without my feeling the urge to share some odd thought or tidbit with you.

Oh.

Darn.

I messed that up royally didn’t I? Wait…where’d that expression come from? Royally? As in only some schmuck with a crown could’ve messed it up better than that? Hmmm…ponder-worthy, that.

I spent my day packing today. Okay, that’s a lie. Really, it was probably only about 45 minutes altogether. But all the other stuff had to do with thinking what to pack, assembling boxes, doing things in order to avoid packing. So it all falls under the general heading of “packing”, thereby giving me the right to answer Neil’s “So, what did you do today?” question with the response, “Packing!”, so I can get the resultant smile and pat on the head.

Many of my thinking-of-things-to-do-other-than-packing thoughts today focused on the fact that the airplane tickets are booked. Dedee (I’m not linking to her as she’s on a bloggy break) is coming to visit for a whole week in mid-April! My thrill-ish-ment and ec-static-icity are beyond description! (And she’ll be just in time to help with the unpacking)

Oh, and her hubby is coming as well. Him and Neil are going to be doing eye doctor stuff while Dedee and I play.

And we’re going to go see this luverly gal (not on a bloggy break, therefore blessed with linkage), and play with the effervescent ‘Punkin’, among other fun girly things!

All these exclamation worthy things are going to get me through the tedium of the next few weeks. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to haul the kids to town so I can sign the Fire Insurance paperwork. Oi. Ah well, at least it hasn’t tried to snow today like it did yesterday.

I’ll leave off with the mental image of me pulling back the living room blinds and shaking my fist at the sky. I was wearing a brown shirt at the time if that helps any.
