It’s Strange…

by Kym on May 25, 2008

…but I don’t feel pregnant. Unless of course you count the having to pee a kajillion times a day thing and the mindless consumption of half a bag of oreos this afternoon.

Huh.

Weird.

I don’t care that I don’t feel any different though because suddenly, everything is different, you know? I’m adding chronic grinning and sudden outbursts of happy dancing to the standard list of pregnancy symptoms.

Also, here is my pregnancy disclaimer:

Name suggestions will be accepted graciously and probably ignored. Requests to rub my belly for luck will be met by an amused/disdainful smirk. And questions about how I’m feeling will be answered completely and utterly honestly (so beware!).

And now that that’s out of the way, let the happy dancing commence!

Due Date: January 25th, 2009

I miss a day and you’re pregnant.

Yippee. (Enjoy feeling good. Beats the alternative.)

Congrats!

I’m smiling just because you’re pregnant…

This is great news. Adding a life to your family will be a joy for sure. So so very happy for you.. Do you get sick? I hope not.

My clue of knowing I was pregnant on all 3 kids was this: I would wake up one morning and walk smack dab into a wall. I did that 3 times. Isn’t that so weird. But fitting ;) for me..

I never feel pregnant until week 6 starts , on the dot. With all three it’s been find and happy and suddenly goes to, “Must. find. toilet. now!”

Personally, I’m partial to Rumplestiltskin for a boy and Thumbelina for a girl. My husband simply refuses to consider those for our little Grasshopper-in-utero, and I cannot begin to understand why. =)

Here’s to hoping and praying that you feel good and CAN eat oreos or whatever you want the whole way through. I won’t wish what I’ve got on any woman alive. Still, it’s fun to be just a week apart with our little ones. (Did I mention I had a dream today that I was telling my mom it was twins? Thankfully, it was a dream, although that would mean I could just be pregnant one time. Two biological children and a couple of adopted ones, and we’d be good, right? I have the utmost respect for women like you who can go through a whole pregnancy one time and then actually be willing to do it all over again. You really should be called St. Kimberly for that one.)

Congratulations, my friend!

Ignore this: Eeyore. You should name your kid Eeyore. Regardless of gender.

You and your sneaky subliminal advertising… I’m on to you lady!

Wow, Kimberly –

My computer’s out of commission for the weekend, and the next thing I know, you’re pregnant. Wonderful news! Congrats!

Love the exuberant new look, AND the exuberant happy dance going on! (I remember that feeling well, and try to forget the accompanying nausea.) :)

Blessings –

Congratulations! (when I was pregnant with the twins and had a ginormous belly, people would often try to rub me like Buddha. I would respond by trying to rub THEIR belly. It didn’t help me, but it probably helped many a pregnant women in the future….)

by Leendaluu on May 27, 2008 at 4:14 pm. #
