Where Are You?
by Kym on August 14, 2008
This evening Neil and I are taking off for a long weekend trip. Alone. No kids. We’re pretty blessed to have a babysitter we trust who can stay with our kids for a stretch of time like this. I’m so weary lately though that I can’t summon up near the level of excitement I feel I should be feeling.
Perhaps because I’ve decided to leave the laptop at home.
I hear you gasping. I hear the thuds of my readers dropping to the floor because of the shock and horror of it all.
Thing is, I’m lucky enough to be married to a guy I’m fairly fond of. It’s been hard to remember why I love the guy though because I hardly see him/talk to him anymore. It’s to the point that we’re considering booking appointments with each other. Some priorities need to shift around here, and a weekend away (with no other priorities) seems like a good time to start.
I will bring a notebook with me though. Hmm. Wonder if I remember how to write with a pen…
In the meantime, I’ve slapped a graphic of a world map up there because I’m curious as to where all my readers are at. For those of you not wrapped up in anonymity, tell me please, where are you?
When the weekend’s over I hope to come home to a hefty number of comments. Maybe I’ll pin up a huge map of the world and stick push pins in it or something.
Come on, it’s my birthday on Tuesday (like how I slipped that in there?), humour me!

I’m terribly behind! I read about the accident the kids were in. SO glad they’re ok (and the babysitter too!)
I hope your weekend was fabulous despite the bad news in coming home.
Can’t wait to hear about it when you aren’t so tired…
I’m in Texas ;)

I’m not sure where I’m from anymore. In the last year, it’s been Oregon, Alaska, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, and now……..ARIZONA! But we’re not moved yet, just signing the contract. Then driving back to Idaho, packing as fast as we can, and moving down here. Crazy, huh!

I hope your weekend away was wonderful! And Happy Birthday, 2 days later. (I know you just wanted to stretch out the celebration, right?) And I’m in San Diego in sunshiny Southern California. It’s wonderful here.

Please forgive this intrusion. I have been googling for people who are blogging from the Cornelius Oregon area. I and my family are thinking of moving to Portland when my contract in the south ends in 2010.
If you don’t mind me asking what is Cornelius like? I have two kids is is reasonably safe? We have seen low house prices and the location looks right, but would like to know more about it.
Once again sorry for interjecting. Any info would be much appreciated!
