Have You Ever…

by Kym on September 15, 2008

…gone to make yourself a small bowl of ice cream and carmel sauce only to realize that it isn’t the ice cream you want, but the sauce?

…proceeded to chug down a couple tablespoons of sauce?

…instead of mentally berating yourself for your indulgence, congratulated yourself for all the calories you saved by skipping out on the ice cream?

…had a bowl of ice cream to celebrate this fact?

Yes, I’m mildly deranged, but I’m funny so people let me get away with it.

Big doings in Temporary? Insanity land this week, my dears. All shall be revealed soonly. Including a multitude of posts inspired by the conference we attended this weekend. Specifically inspired by people and how annoying/wonderful/fascinating/blog worthy they can be.

Oh yes, I’ve done that way too often. Most recently it was caramel sauce. I didn’t even want chocolate, just craved caramel. Now that’s deranged.

I think I could live on carmel sauce.

Now I’m craving a nice tall glass of milk with dulce de leche syrup in it. Thanks.
Although…since I don’t drink regular milk I could use the excuse that its GOOD for me right?

Once (okay I was pregnant) I was at a cousin’s wedding and I slipped into the back kitchen and requested a CUP of hot fudge with a dollop of ice cream on top…and they GAVE it to me! Pregnant women get away with murder.

My son just this last week melted his Healthy Choice fudgesicle in a cup, then added milk and drank it. He was really proud of himself for this concoction so I did NOT point out that he could have just used the Hershey’s syrup.

Looking forward to a ream of inspired blog posts…

I am absolutely always about the sauce/frosting/gravy.

When I could eat chocolate, I bought hot fudge just to eat it straight out of the jar.

It seems, my dearest Kimberly, that you are NOT the insane one here . . . that because I have no such cravings, that I would be the one dealing with Temporary? Insanity in that matter. You? Are in great company with all the posters above me (and probably a myriad below me)! ;)
Looking forward to more Kim-ness as the week goes on! :)

I really need caramel sauce now. Thanks a lot…

No, I can’t say that I have ever done that… but what I mean by that is specifically, I have never done that with caramel sauce. Now, if you had said, chocolate sauce, then my answer would have to be different.

And looking forward to the revealing unveiling of things to be revealed!

Agh! I left like three duplicate comments! So I deleted two of them. And now I shall take my ineptness elsewhere and inflict it upon someone else… like my children.

Hahaha!

Mmm, I think I want some ice cream. :-)

I do that with dingdongs. I eat the outside chocolate and throw away the cake part. We are weird creatures us women huh.. Funny post Kim.

I did that with Nutella a couple weeks ago.

I’m a teaspoon scooper too. I usually do it with ice cream. I don’t really like ice cream, but I buy it all the time. Then once in awhile, I take out the teaspoon, have a scoop, and then put it away. I am forever throwing out half cartons of freezer burnt ice cream.
Once in a while – this is weird I know – but I do it with salad dressing too. Especially Renees Buttermilk Ranch. It’s so good.

I’ve done that with frosting…and then rewarded myself with the cake. Thanks for coming by my blog I wasn’t sure if you even read any of my comments. I really enjoy reading your blog, I’ll apologize for the lack of posts and slow updates on my blog should you continue to visit. :)

My family loves caramel! I see them lick everything with caramel :-) This post is making me so sad for me because I like caramel and ice cream, too, but I stay away not because I have self-discipline but found out when I was diagnosed with milk allergies to stay away not only from ice cream but CARAMEL. Weird, huh? I never would have “thunked” of caramel as a problem food for me. Poor, poor me :-( Anyway, I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us on your blog.

Oh exciting. And I do the same stuff, as in celebrating dieting success woith, erm, chocolate. Tee hee.

by Jo Beaufoix on September 15, 2008 at 7:55 pm. #

Yes, but remove the caramel sauce and insert hersheys choc sauce. :o) Makes sense to me.

I celebrate running with that kind of treats. I tell myself it’s okay because I just burned lots of calories running and my metabolism is cancelling out the junk food right after I come back. : ) I’m excited to hear what’s going on!
