Everyone once in awhile I get a bit itchy, and the only way to scratch this particular itch is to change my blog template. Once upon a time, I did this several times a week. Eventually I got to the point where I was able to hold onto a given blog template for several months before the inevitable switch. And still, the compulsion for change remains. I’ve recently found a few template sites which have been rather helpful in feeding this compulsion and I thought I’d share.

Oh, and for those of you who’ve no idea how to download and install a new theme? Just email me. No sense in you going through all the trial and error I did to figure it all out. kimberly.vanderhorst@gmail.com

She also does custom headers, buttons, etc…definitely worth a peek if you’re wanting to take your style up a few notches.

I’m like that, too. Though more with my living room than my blog. Every so often, I’ll move all the furniture around, just to spice up my life a bit.

It’s so funny because as spazzy as I am in life, I rarely have the desire to move furniture or change my blog template. Maybe I am just a homebody at heart. :-)

I just found one of those free sites and change my template. I have always wanted to but hadn’t been smart enough. The one I did was super easy. Thanks for the other sites.

So where were you with this when I was plugging away redesigning mine? Spending a ridiculous amount of hours creating headers and combing through CSS (which is not intuitive at all unless you speak that language) to change colors and ugh. I would have gladly paid Summer instead.

So why did you switch back?

I think a light just went on for me. I have been terrified to change my embarrassingly boring generic blogger template, as you well know, better than anybody. I think part of what was holding me up was coming up with just the right thing. (Do I hear perfectionism, anyone?) But now that I read this, I realize I can change it. As often as I like. (Even though I know I probably won’t….) And change is good. Change means you’re not perfect, you’re in progress. Just as we all should be. Thanks!
