Temporary? Insanity

When I’m feeling particularly lacking in brilliance I like to duck out of the spotlight and watch with malicious glee as I shine it on others in the Bloggisphere. These poor souls receive no advanced warning and I can assure those of you with a suspicious nature that I have received no financial recompense for my endorsement of the following sites (not that I’m, ahem, entirely averse to that).

Heidi Ashworth of Dunhaven Place is relatively new to the blogging world. I’ve found her to be funny, warm, insightful and thought-provoking. Her book Miss Delacourt Speaks her Mind is currently available for pre-order from Amazon, Borders, and Target.

Eowyn of Refracted Light is fueling my bibliophilia with her fabulous book recommendations. I can’t help thinking Amazon.ca should be paying her a commission and we’re looking at our guest room/library with something akin to dismay. A new bookshelf will likely be our Christmas present to ourselves this year. However, as she’s one of my very dearest friends, she can get away with that sort of abuse. Thanks Eowyn!

Charette of Divergent Pathways wrote a fabulous three post series about ghosts this week that was chilling, heartwarming, and smiling-through-tears material. Her powerful prose often leaves me in awe, but not near as much as her sweet and generous personality. A gifted artist, writer, and increasingly, a very good friend.
