Meeting Mr. Wrong: The Romantic Misadventures of a Southern Belle

‘Don’t email me if you want a supermodel. I’m twenty-two, divorced, and I have twins. I’m also overweight, unattractive, and have no education to speak of. I’m pretty much not going to bring anything to the table except the fact that I’m pretty nice and won’t ask you to pay my bills. Here’s my email address. Don’t email if you’re full of it.’

With this ad, Stephanie Snowe relaunches herself into the world of dating. In this real-life account, she discovers that the search for Mr. Right can include a lot of wrong turns. With light-hearted sass, Stephanie introduces us to each Tom, Dick, and Denny, and their neuroses, pets, mullets, lies, and puking.

A girl can get discouraged having to deal with dive-bombing birds, first-date proposals, and eavesdropping mothers. Is there a knight in shining armor out there with a higher IQ than his horse? Stephanie hopes so.

I want this book. Badly. Enough that despite it’s not being available at Amazon.ca, I’ve ordered it (I should say them, really, having ordered multiple copies) from Amazon.com and am having it shipped to my best friend’s house. Err…that alright Dedee? I did clear that with you, right?

Stephanie is one of the most delightful women I’ve met online. She’s hilarious, but then, many women are. She’s a brilliant writer, but again, many women are. What stands out is the stark honesty of her. She is genuine and sincere in everything she does. The honesty is a big factor in her humour and her stellar writing style, and it’s also something I admire hugely about her. I can say with no hint of cheesy insincerity that reading her blog the past couple years has made me a better person.

Stop groaning and rolling your eyes, I’m serious!

Anyhoo, her first (of many) book is being released February 3rd and I’m hosting a bloggy giveaway. I’m not too big on giveaways as I’m super lazy and forget to mail the prize half the time, but for Stephanie I’ll try to unlock my better nature.

Here’s the deal though, to enter you have to put up a post like this one, letting your readers know about this fabulous new book that’s just about to be released. Once you’ve put up that post, leave a comment here with a link to that post, and you’ll be entered to win your very own copy. U.S. residents who win will receive their copy fairly quickly, but alas, those in Canada or abroad will have to wait till I pick up my stash in late April. I’ll be giving away three copies though, so chances are good! Entries must be received by February 3rd, the official release date.

Now spread the word, please. At the very least your readers will get a good giggle over the cover image, right?

We now return to our regularly scheduled blogging…
