A Change in Scenery

I’ve started to dislike my blog template. I tried some new ones, but I didn’t like them either. Kim + Illness = Pickiness apparently. As I can’t find anything quite right template wise (expect some changes around here), I thought I’d change things up with a few photos. One of the greatest joys that moving north has brought me is the appreciation of the beauty of this place.
I’m not much of a photographer. Really just a point and clicker, really, but here’s a small slideshow of a few sights I’ve felt moved to capture.
It’s only January, but I am really, really yearning for Spring.

I would say you are pretty talented! Pointer and clicker, my foot! Tell me those lilacs are from last year . . . I live in California and we don’t even get those until April.

Spring schming! Where’s my global warming!?
OK, I like the photo’s too dammit! Why does everyone in the world take better photo’s than me? In fact why does everyone in the world take a better picture than me? Huh? Huh? See what I did there?
OK Kayboo, again you raise the bar and bring light into other folk’s lives!
If this carries on much longer I’m gonna start thinking the sun only rises coz you say so!

I love the photos – I only have a click and point and shoot (or whatever they’re called), so I appreciate others who only do too. Not that I don’t want a fancy camera, because I do….
I love the lilac photos. I love lilacs. Avram and I started dating in the spring, and that year the lilacs were very plentiful and very fragrant. Seeing or smelling lilacs always takes me back to the wonder and excitement of young love.
Also, it’s beautiful where you live! Do you live in the country itself, or in a small town?

I love the one with the gorgeous night sky, and the one of the path through the trees especially. Those are some beautiful pics!
This template is my favorite so far, I think. I love the simplicity yet the quirkiness of it.

They are lovely pix Kimberly. There are areas in Australia that are very similar to the scenes you show. We are both blessed by surroundings of beauty and vastness it seems. I know little of Canada however. We have a ‘folk radio’ program known as ‘Australia All Over’ which brings every Sunday morning, personal contact by phone from people from all around Oz with all types of interesting input. Ian Macnamara, a semi-reformed Muso is the Host.
