Sharing Bliss

So apart from convalescing and dealing with various baby bodily fluids while missing out on sleep, I spend a lot of time just staring at her little face. This might not sound like the most intellectually stimulating activity (well hey, it’s not), but it makes me grin so big it’s a wonder my face hasn’t cracked.
I thought I’d share my bliss. You may want to skip this one if baby faces bore you. Then again, her incredibly smitten mummy thinks it’s worth clicking play just to hear her little sneezes if nothing else…

She is so sweet. I keep thinking in the back of my uterus there is a baby girl waiting. I grew up with 2 sisters and wish my own 2 daughters had just 1 more sister to even things out.

I could stare at her face all day too! Except…I have my own to stare at. WHO LOOKS LIKE HER. Really, she reminds me so much of Manly!! I see her and think “Kym stole my baby and put girl clothes on him!!” (Babies all look gender neutral until hair grows, right?)

Those little sneezes are beyond wonderful! I can’t even tell you how I’ve been dying to see little Claira. But apparently I am only capable of focusing on ONE thing at a time, and my novel ate November!

It was taking forever to load this film for some reason so I just kept listening to the first two sneezes over and over. Such cute breathing sounds and hand movements. I can’t believe how much older she looks.
I think it’s staring at baby faces that give mommies at least half of their good qualities. Seriously. Don’t you feel like a better person when you stare at her? Maybe it’s feeling SO full of love that does it.
Anyway, she’s extremely sweet. EXTREMELY, even to someone who’s not her mom.

because she is the cutest thing EVER!!! (well, aside form my babies…and your babies…but…I think its a 7 way tie!)
my impulse…to get in the burb and drive on up just so I can snuggle and sniff her sweetness….and see you too, of course, but I think you might have to take a temporary back seat while I absorb your girl!

I’m here to steal your Mommy Milk post but just HAD to stop and watch that clip of Claira. What a cutie! It makes me think of something my mom, mother of 8 kids, always used to say. “Having a new baby is like Christmas every morning!” Aiieee! Now I’m baby hungry and I’m 45!!!!!!!
