Dear Scale,

We have a long history you and I. I’ve even built shrines in your honour. But you’ve been unmasked as the foul fraud that you are. Yes, I caught you. Caught you in the act! And I will never, ever, trust you again.

Au Revoir,
She Who Does NOT Weigh the Same With and Without Clothes On

Dear Cheese,

I miss you.

With Great Affection,
Kimberly

Dear Lego,

I know we’re not close. We haven’t really bonded the way that you have with the others in my family. Even so, I have some new friends for you to meet. Their names are Ms. Broom, Mr. Dustpan, and Miss Garbage can.

Of course, I might put off the introductions should you find some way to NOT get stuck painfully between my toes EVERY day.

Cheers,
She Who Will Be Buying Many Pairs of Slippers if Current Trends Continue

Dear Utah,

I’m coming to see you in April. I’m determined. I have a fabulous book idea and I WILL be attending the LDS Storymakers Conference. Now to find out if my positive self-talk will have any affect on my husband…

Hopefully,
Kim

Dear Me,

You are doing fabulously. You’re happier, braver, kinder, and more content than you ever have been in your life. Now stop being so darn scared that you’re going to screw it up somehow. You know, you’re not half bad, and you deserve joy in your life. And if you’re not ready to believe that quite yet, then believe that those you love deserve a joyful you in THEIR lives.

Slowly Starting to Love You,
You

Oh, how I love reading your letters. They are warm and thought filled.

Here’s to a beautiful day, a Lego-less floor, and a few small bites of cheese (really, would it hurt?). :)

Those mini letters to inanimate objects are so clever and thoughtful and hysterical. I love it :)

How fun if you can make it to Utah in April!

Scales are dumb.

If you come to Utah, I would be ecstatic! If you need a couch to stay on…let me know! : )

As for those legos, just buy slippers. So much easier and comfier.

Dear Kim,
That last letter was a good reminder for me. Thank you for writing it to yourself so I could feel inspired. Also, the other letters in this post are TOO FUNNY.
Love you,
Heather

Ah…legos can be evil! I have a plan to buy a small tent for camping, set it up upstairs and ban the legos to it. All lego building and playing must take place in the tent! Then I won’t be stepping on them all the time!

Dear Kim,

Love you and can’t wait to see you.

Eowyn

Dear office,

If I start now, I should have to clean by April so that Kim has a place to sleep. Will you please cooperate by not running a paper reproduction party every night?
