Five Years

Next month is my five year Bloggiversary (I just adore made-up internet words, don’t you?). And while I am defined by more than just my Canadian-ness, since most of my readers hale from distant lands, I’ve decided to give away some Available-in-Canada goodies to mark the day. What do you need to do to enter? Just cram yourself into the wee little followers box in my sidebar (if you’re not there already), then leave a comment on this post. I’ll draw SEVERAL winners at random (because I’m awesome like that) and let them choose a prize.
And for my Canadian readers, a mystery prize! Or in other words, I have no idea what I’ll give you if you win but I’m sure it will be AWESOME!
What’s that? You think this is just a pathetic attempt to increase my number of followers, thus augmenting my weak little ego? Well yes, of course it is! But it’s also an excuse to buy junk food after weeks of (successful) dieting. And also to use a disturbing number of exclamation marks! Win-win-win!

OH, I so love that pic of you in your wedding dress! So classic, so beautiful. Makes me want to go back in time and have a do over and that’s big since I totally adored my dress. I am already crammed into your followers box and would like to be crammed full of Candian goodness so sign me up. I can’t have anything with wheat or malt in it, though. That probably means I can’t have any of it. Bummer.

Somehow, I too failed to subscribe – but THAT oversight is rectified! And I agree with Heidi about the dress and pic – GORGEOUS!
As much as I like chocolate, I must admit that I can’t decide whether I am lusting after the syrup most (for more homemade maple pecan ice cream, ya know!) or the droolingly geekly light saber pen! But of course, I sure would put a $20 Amazon gift card to good use – and save you shipping costs to boot!

I am coming up on five years as well!
I am in the midst of “dieting” so I am avoiding most of the things on that list. My boys would love it if I got a lightsaber pen, and I personally have a big soft spot for Amazon.

Ooh, congrats on the five years and wow, I hope you totally pick me as one of the winners! But I wouldn’t know whether to go for the chocolate (for myself) or the lightsaber pens because all of my boys are HUGE Star Wars fans and that’s one thing they would love to add to their collection. What a cool contest, though, and how amazing are you! I’m so glad we’re friends. :)

Congratulations on FIVE YEARS. Woah! That is terrific. And for some reason the — oh, never mind. I see Marily has said it. No follower box. I don’t know if I am one or not. I mean to be, though. Ah, Canada. Where would children’s animated tv programming be without all those voiceover actors who can’t quite let go of the Canadian “aboot”? And my children are all drooling over the light saber pens . . . only problem is, I’d need three. Maybe we can work something out?

Kim, this is going to sound crazy, but I actually really need a red light saber pen. One of my editing clients named me Darth Editus, and I’ve been looking for a red light saber pen.
