I am a bibliophile in the true sense of the word. There are stacks of them all around the house, overflowing bookshelves, a night stand that barely has room for the alarm clock perched precariously on the edge of it.
As a child, I read at least a book a day, often staying up into the wee hours of morning swept up by some mystical world or the thrill of a good mystery novel. I still laugh when my parents marvel over how much I slept in at the weekend. “That Kimberly sure needs her sleep,” they’d say. And I’d try to smother a smirk. They had no idea how little of it I was getting by on.
I’m too lazy to review all my favourite works here, but I do want to shine the spotlight on a few…
